NADCA-certified cleaning of your packaged rooftop HVAC units — coils, blowers, economizers and drain pans — for cleaner air and lower energy costs.
Rooftop units (RTUs) are the packaged HVAC workhorses on most Atlanta commercial roofs. Exposed to sun, rain, pollen and rooftop grime all year, they pull outside air, dust and debris straight into your building — so a neglected RTU becomes a direct pipeline for contaminants into every space below it.
Atlanta Air Experts cleans commercial RTUs to the measurable NADCA ACR Standard: a documented restoration of the supply and return sections, coils, blower, economizer and condensate system — not a surface rinse. The payoff is cleaner indoor air, restored capacity, and a unit that stops working overtime.
We HEPA-clean both air sections where dust, pollen and nesting debris collect before air reaches your ducts.
Rooftop coils foul fast. We wet-clean them to restore heat transfer and stop the unit running long and hot.
We clean the blower wheel and housing so the fan moves its rated airflow again.
Dirty economizer dampers waste energy and pull in unfiltered air. We clean and free them up.
We clean and flush the pan and drain line and verify drainage to stop standing water, mold and roof leaks.
We service the filter rack, check for air bypass, and clear debris from the unit base and curb.
We assess each RTU’s coils, blower, economizer and pan and document condition with photos before work.
The system is put under negative pressure with HEPA collection so loosened debris is captured, never blown indoors.
Brushes and compressed air dislodge buildup from coils, blower and air sections while it’s vacuumed at the source.
Coils, condensate pan and drain are wet-cleaned with EPA-registered cleaners; the drain is flushed and verified.
Where mold or biofilm is present we apply an EPA-registered antimicrobial labeled for HVAC use.
We confirm a measurable clean (debris at or below 0.75 mg per 100 cm²) and document it for your records.
It’s your building’s front door for outside air. RTUs draw and condition outdoor air. When their coils, dampers and air sections are fouled, every bit of supply air carries that contamination into occupied spaces — raising complaints and sick-building risk.
Rooftop fouling is an energy tax. Sun-baked, dirt-caked coils force longer run times and higher bills, and standing condensate invites mold and roof damage. A clean RTU runs cooler, draws less power, and lasts longer.
